Antique 1930's French white cotton baby dress, lace trim, smocked neck sleeves, lace, hand sewn, label B.Altman New York, Good/Fair cond.

Antique 1910ish French made in Paris white cotton baby dress. Delicate lace trimmed with beautiful smocking on neck and sleeves, there are tiny mother of pearl buttons on the back. It seems to me to be hand sewn. Label is B.Altman New York. It is in Good/Fair antique condition with an old repair on one sleeve and darned repair on back both shown in photos plus area under sleeve along hem on left side that needs repair. I have soaked and cleaned it but there is still some light yellowing in spots. Chest is quite gathered so will fit up to a 26" properly , length 18".
This came out of an estate on Martha's Vineyard which had pieces going back to 1810! I have more that I am listing some of which were made in France for the US so please see all of my listings if you are looking for a truly special rare baby gown. Cross listing.
