Purple 1860's Razor box or lidded shaving box, toothbrush or Butter dish, ironstone soap dish, Staffordshire England

$90.00
1860's Razor box lidded, toothbrush or Butter dish with a lovely shade of purple banded on white ironstone. Could also be used as a soap dish, England. This one has a lovely shade of purple banded around the top and bottom. There are chips on the inner edge of lid, a hairline on the base and a chip on the bottom of the base and there is crazing. Measures about 8 1/2" long. I purchased a collection of 16 Razor boxes at an auction here in New England. These are all 19th century so most have a little chip or crazing but surprisingly a few are in excellent condition. Please see all photos for condition details and ask any questions.

I use standard industry quality descriptions for vintage and antique items but if you have questions please just ask. See all photos.

Most of my items come out of estates and auctions on Martha's Vineyard and some from other places in New England. I try to do a lot of research and give good descriptions but I am not an expert in everything so please ask questions or if you know something about a piece and are willing to add your input into my listings please contact me!

I am happy to combine shipping on multiple items if possible. I will ship internationally but please contact me for the shipping cost before bidding. 6.25% sales tax on bidders from Massachusettes. Please check my other new listings over the next couple of days. Returns are welcome if item is not as described, refund for item cost only. I take very detailed photos and give good descriptions. Please see all pics and enlarge to see details. Ask me any questions before purchasing.
