Just Reduced! This gorgeous antique Reed and Barton dome top butter or cheese dish has a lovely glass insert in perfect condition! Often the glass pieces were broken over the years. Dates to pre 1920's from marks. You would fill the bottom with ice, place glass back in and serve balls of butter or a slab of cheese in this. The plate is in very good condition except for some minor pitting in the inside bottom as shown in photos. Measures 7' wide handle to handle and 6' tall. Dome top butter dishes in good condition are very rare and this one is exceptional. The perfect antique heirloom gift for a new bride and groom.
