RARE 1754 Georgian English sterling silver oval tray, very good condition

$5,500.00
This is a heavy 18th century British Georgian sterling silver platter Dog Tooth & Acanthus Shaped Border with the marks for 1754 so George 11. In the last photo I show the mark ID. It weighs 39 ounces and is in Good antique condition with light surface scratches that could be buffed out and general wear from polishing over the past 150 years, I have lightly polished it today so the first photos are of it freshly glowing and the others are from a few days ago before I polished it. The maker marks are worn down as well although the lion and mark is legible with the outline of the leopard and the T. Measures 16" long by 11" wide.
Please see all photos and ask any questions before purchasing. These pieces are antiques and in antique condition. Weights and measurements are approximate but as accurate as possible. I try to note any condition issues to the best of my ability. I use standard industry quality descriptions for vintage and antique items but if you have questions please just ask. Available for in person viewing in Western Massachusetts. Will ship worldwide but please message me for a quote outside of the US.

Most of my items come out of estates on Martha's Vineyard and some from other places in New England. The island of Martha's Vineyard where I have lived for the past 18 years is home to many old original families of sea captains and sailors so fascinating things come up when there are estate sales. Please check my other listings. I am putting up a large collection of glassware, china, linens and postcards that I have gotten over the years out of these estates. I try to do a lot of research and give good descriptions but I am not an expert in everything so please ask questions or if you know something about a piece and are willing to add your input into my listings please contact me!

I am happy to combine shipping on multiple items if possible. I will ship internationally but please contact me for the shipping cost before bidding. 6.25% sales tax on bidders from Massachusettes. Please check my other new listings over the next couple of days. Returns are welcome if item is not as described, refund for item cost only. I take very detailed photos and give good descriptions. Please see all pics and enlarge to see details. Ask me any questions before purchasing.
