Antique 1870’s Brides Basket in triple silver plate on copper, Simpson Hall Miller & Co. wedding silver, cake plate, Flower vase, Victorian

Just Reduced! Aesthetic Period Figural Brides Basket in Triple plated silver by Simpson Hall Miller & Co. made in Connecticut. Engraved on side under rim by handle Caldwell. Romanesque Classical cameos with engine turned engraved bowl and winged bird feet. There are tiny dents in the engraving of the center bowl and scratches on bottom As shown in photos. Plate is in very good condition and I have not polished although along the way it was so not much oxidation. Looks like the brass handle was repaired in the middle at some point. Measures 2.5 inches tall without handle Up with a length of 12” and width of 8.5”.
These baskets were carried by the flower girl With petals in them and then set up on a table for the reception either with the Brides flowers in it or tea cakes. Maker mark dates this piece to 1840-1855. Very rare piece! Great wedding gift or birthday piece for a serious collector. Please see all photos and ask any more questions before purchasing.
