Victorian silver plated cake or fruit basket by Middletown, engraved floral pattern and feather fan motif,1870-80's, Very good condition

This gorgeous Victorian silver plated basket is often called a Brides basket but back when it was made it was called a cake or fruit basket. It was made in the late 1800's by the Middletown Co which operated in Connecticut. The body of the basket stands 5" high and with the handle up it is 12", circumference is 89 1/2" round. there is a lovely raised feather fan motif and engraved floral pattern in the bowl area. I have not polished it and it is in very good condition. Please see all photos and ask any more questions before purchasing
